CEO decision coverage
Understand the consequential decisions the simulator represents and the limits of that coverage.
worldseq models finite, executable SaaS operating decisions. It does not reproduce every responsibility of a chief executive or represent any real company. A facility applies only when the company and task explicitly configure it. Source playbooks motivate mechanisms; they do not supply measured transition rates for fictional companies.
Implemented decision domains
| Domain | Consequential choices | Verification boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Finance and runway | Collect receivables, borrow under disclosed terms, sequence spending, preserve contractual obligations | Cash, earned revenue, receivables, liabilities and net assets are reconstructed separately; borrowing is not wealth creation |
| Commercial agreements | Execute a versioned promise, deliver finite work, obtain acceptance, claim a scoped SLA credit | Actual work, service windows, deadlines, invoice association and settlement determine the result |
| Product and infrastructure | Sequence prerequisites, allocate engineering, buy costed capacity, preserve dependent products | Work conservation, lead times, service demand, recurring hosting and dependency failures remain active |
| Workforce | Hire named people, reserve paired mentor/trainee work, transfer skills before departure | Person and department hours, payroll, ramp, departure cutoffs and coverage are independently checked |
| Growth | Compose finite audience/channel/timing/budget studies, wait for follow-up, roll out or cancel | Actual assigned populations, acquisition costs and matured outcomes are reconstructed; aggregate profit is not advertising causal superiority |
| Usage economics | Serve genuine free accounts, respect allowances and authorized caps, pay variable costs, collect arrears | Product-specific units, exact tariffs, quota denials, technical failures and collectible versus total debt remain distinct |
| Reliability and continuity | Recover access and prerequisites, staff support, stage changes, validate recoverable artifacts | Actual service loss and irreversible changes cannot be erased by later recovery or descriptive claims |
| Causal diagnosis and replanning | Use delayed evidence, revise commitments, submit identified or explicitly unresolved conclusions | Public cutoffs, evidence identities, conclusion requirements and independently verified counterfactual branches apply |
| Policy and disclosure | Observe authorization, execution windows, approval dependencies and contract-specific restrictions | Only encoded rules are enforced; prose does not create an additional legal or security model |
The business mechanics, growth experiments, usage billing, agreements, and finance and workforce references describe the actual transitions and units. Environment pages describe which tasks expose them.
Evidence and authored assumptions
The source dossier preserves URLs, inspection dates, claim scope and limitations. The evidence and licensing guide distinguishes observed facts, operational rules, synthetic ingestion fixtures and authored sensitivity settings. Published postmortems can support dependency or sequencing mechanisms without identifying the probability or magnitude of every simulated effect.
A task can combine several domains without independently testing each one. Coverage requires a consequential control that changes an actual outcome, rather than a label or a list of available actions. A control that remains eligible is an optional tradeoff and must be reported as such. Sensitivity failures describe robustness under alternative authored assumptions; they are not silently converted into certification results.
What remains outside the model
The simulator does not measure charisma, leadership quality, brand sentiment or free-form negotiation. It does not execute arbitrary product code, reproduce physical cloud topology, model every security exploit, or settle generally applicable legal questions. Fixed usage tariffs do not implement pooled credits, tax systems or arbitrary negotiated discounts. A finite channel experiment is not an unrestricted marketing strategy simulator. Public playbooks alone do not create a confidential holdout.
Protected evaluation requires unseen private compositions, parameters, criteria and seeds with a recorded exposure boundary. Certificates establish a feasible path for their exact registered instance and runtime, not every possible company or future scenario.
Adding meaningful coverage
A proposed mechanism needs public terms with explicit units and dates, actual resource and financial consequences, a legal budgeted feasibility path, and an independent verifier. Required information must be available before the decision cutoff. Positive controls, consequential omissions, invalid or forged receipts, retry/cancellation behavior, and authored-rate sensitivities should exercise the claimed boundary. Shared facility changes require corresponding integration and interface checks. See mechanism authoring and quality controls.
